Shawl Tiina/ õlarätt Tiina

Päris raske on sellist suurt salli soojade ilmadega ühele poole saada. Salli autoriks on Eesti sallikuduja. 

It was quite hard to finish this shawl, because the wheather has been so nice. The designer of this beautiful thing is Estonian knitter. 

Mõõtudeks on 120x220 cm.
Measurements are 120x220 cm.

There were lots of nupps so I had to buy more yarn. But the new yarn was a bit darker as you can see.

Nupud on paras lõngasööja, seega tuli lõpus lõnga juurde osta. Ja nagu pildilt näha, oli uus lõng tiba tumedam.

Torbikukirjaga kolmnurkne/ Triangular

Valmis sai Haapsalu räti raamatust Torbikukirjaga rätt.

I finally finished a triangular shawl from one book.

Mõõtudeks 80x170 cm.
Measurements are 80x 170 cm.

Triangular shawl Piret

There is Estonian knitter that organized secret knitting on Facebook. Secret knitting means that you get a part of the pattern every week and it was knitted in February, so there were 4 parts in this pattern. Shawl is called "Piret".

Eesti sallikuduja ja mustrite tegija korraldas salli Piret salakudumise Fb-s. Veebruarikuus saime seega igal nädalal ühe jupi mustrist, seega 4nädalaga sai sall kenasti valmis.

Yarn is brought from Tartu open Market, Estonian fine wool, dark red.
Lõng on ostetud Tartu turult, villavahetuspunktist. Ühekordne Eesti peenvillane tumepunane. 

When I knit lace I like charts. Written isntructions don`t quite work in knitting lace in my opinion. You can read from the chart which yarn over is above knit2tog etc. And this book (read prev post) where I got the pattern for this shawl is for those who prefer written instructions...

Pitsi kududes koon mina skeemide järfi. Lahti kirjutatud sõnadega muster ei toimi pitsi kududes. Skeemi pealt on kenasti näha milline õhksilmus on 2 parmp kokku kududes jne. Ja see raamat (loe eelmist postitust), kust selle mustri sain, on mõeldud neile, kes eelistavad sõnadega mustri kirjeldust...

Rosebud shawl - Roosinupu sall

This is my next project. rosebud-faroese-style-shawl, you can find it on ravelry. The photos are from ravelry as well, my yarn is also quite dark red, it is half done. You have to wait a little to see it... ;)

The written instruction in English has been quite a struggle for me. I think it is written for idiots. Yes, nice to mee you, that`s me! I like charts, but the charts there are not really complete. You have to read the written part as well, as following the charts...

See on minu järgmine projekt.  rosebud-faroese-style-shawl (roosinupu-fääri saarte-sall), selle mustri leiab ravelry`st. Pildid on ka sealt pärit. Minu poolik sall on veel varrastel, minu piltidega läheb natuke aega... ;)

Muster pärit siis sellest raamatust, mis üleval toodud. See ingliskeelne salli kirjeldus on tõeline matemaatika. See raamat on idiootidele. Jah, meeldiv tutvuda, mina see olengi!

Skeemid on olemas, kuid need pole täielikud. Seeda oleks tulnud kududes ka kirjutatud juhiseid järgida. Mida ma tegin natuke liiga hilja...

Passionate red - Kirglik punane

Here is an other shawl. Mohair Gold, 20% mohair, 20% lana, 60% acrylic. The suggestion was to knit with needles size 4,5-5 mm. But I chose 3,5 mm and I like the result.
Pattern is Tree of Light. You can find it on ravelry.

Siin on järgmine sall. Mohair Gold, 20% mohäär, 20% lana, 60% akrüüli. Lõnga soovituseks oli kududa varrastega suuruses 4,5-5 mm. Valisin varda suuruseks 3,5mm ja mulle meeldib see tulemus.
Mustriks on Tree of Light. Leiad selle siit ravelry`st.

This is a new triangular shawl, made from Estonian sheep wool.

Birthday present

There is pink triangular shawl that I made with Sofia pattern. It travelled on Sunday to a birthday girl - I think she will be 76 on 17th of April. 

I also made a box and wrapped it nicely and also added care instructions. Happy birthday!

Tegin kunagi ühe roosa kolmnurkse salli, Sofia mustriga. Nüüd rändas see sünnipäevalapseni - daam saab 76.aastaseks 17.aprillil. Võtsin enda tehtud käsitsitehtud karbi ja pakkisin kenasti sisse, hooldusjuhend ka kenasti kaasas. Palju õnne!

Ethereal shawl

I had a little yarn left over from light blue Haapsalu shawl. So I took a risk and started Ethereal shawl. I wasn`t sure there will be enough yarn for it:

 But I managed to finish it, and I think there is enough for one lacey scarf:

 So here it is:

This scarf will also be walking in Szeged, Hungary on an Estonian lady :)
